September Newsletter

To everyone who is who has taken a moment to see what we will be up this month, we thank you!

First off, a big thanks everyone who came out to Carmichael's Concert in the Park last Saturday the 4th to see us.  What an awesome audience you were, you packed the dance floor and filled up the lawn!  I hope we delivered everything you came for and more!

The remainder of August there are just two public shows featuring Todd and the Emblems.  This Friday 10th they'll be at the 4th Annual Blues & Brews Festival in Lodi, CA  and on the 23rd will be performing at Oakmont of Carmichael once again to help in the awareness and fundraising for those dealing with Alzheimers. Here's a link to their Facebook

Now for those of you saw Todd Morgan on Fox 40 last week you know what he has been up to in addition to playing with the Emblems.  For those that missed it look here>   Todd will be taking part of this years production (was in it last year too) of American Legend and is very excited to be working with W.S. Holland the only drummer Johnny Cash ever had. Holland was also Carl Perkins drummer for a time.  This theater style production runs over four days, a dinner show (8/16), two nights on the Folsom Amphitheater (17 & 18), with a finale at the B Street Theater, Sofia, in Downtown Sacramento (8/19).

A short preview of Sept, Todd and the Emblems at the Hot Jazz Jubilee, one night only in RJ's Tavern in in the Double Tree Hotel here in Sacramento. You might want to come the rest of the weekend to catch Todd's Jazz/Swing band, Todd Morgan & the Swingsters as well. A short tour follows which will fine Todd traveling through Washington and Oregon stopping in here and there for whatever Jam or open-mic he comes across. If you live in those states and would like him to stop by a venue in your area send him a message via facebook and that just might be something he can work out. Here's that link if your not already a facebook fan of the band's, now would be good time to fix that.
